Product Introduction
The sodium hypochlorite generator is a device that produces sodium hypochlorite solution by electrolyzing dilute saltwater (seawater can be used if conditions permit). It consists of an electrolytic electrode assembly, rectifier power supply, automatic control system, and other components. The pure sodium hypochlorite solution produced is a strong oxidant with strong sterilization and bleaching effects, making it the most widely used disinfectant currently.
The Sterilization Principle of Sodium Hypochlorite
The main action of sodium hypochlorite disinfection is through its hydrolysis to form hypochlorous acid, which further decomposes to form new ecological oxygen [O]. The strong oxidizing property of new ecological oxygen denatures proteins and other substances on bacteria and viruses, thus killing pathogenic microorganisms. Additionally, during the sterilization process, hypochlorous acid can act not only on cell walls and virus shells but also penetrate into the bacteria (viruses) due to its small, uncharged molecules, reacting with organic macromolecules such as proteins, nucleic acids, and enzymes within the bacteria (viruses) to kill pathogenic microorganisms. Furthermore, the chloride ions produced by hypochlorous acid can significantly alter the osmotic pressure of bacteria and viruses, causing the cells to lose viability and die.
