1. Bio Balls 
Product Overview
Bio balls are a common type of biological filter media, known for their excellent performance and high degree of completion due to long-term improvements. They are made of plastic, are lightweight, and can usually float on the water surface. Their shape is mostly spherical, and their structural characteristics include: low water resistance and good air permeability. Most bio balls have flow guiding designs, such as flow plates and flow channels, which can evenly distribute water flow, increase water flow, facilitate gas exchange, improve dissolved oxygen levels, and aid in the removal of H2S and CO2. The main function of biological filter media is to provide a surface for nitrifying bacteria and other beneficial bacteria to attach to; the larger the surface area of the filter media, the stronger the bacterial cultivation capacity. Bio balls have a considerable specific surface area; for example, in the DUPLA system, a bio ball with a diameter of 4.1CM has a surface area of 20000mm².

2. Biochemical Cotton
Product Overview
Biochemical cotton is a widely used filter media that primarily serves the purpose of biochemical filtration. It is suitable for ornamental aquariums such as marine tanks, freshwater tanks, and planted tanks. It is mainly used to cultivate nitrifying bacteria, allowing them to decompose toxic NH3/NH4 and NO2 in the water into non-toxic NO3. Therefore, it can improve water quality and increase fish survival rates, making it a filter material that combines both physical and biochemical filtration effects. It has good elasticity, a large specific surface area, is not easily damaged, and effectively filters debris from the water.

3. Glass Ceramic Rings
Product Overview
Can be used in all internal biological filters, external filters, drop purification filtration systems, and garden pond filters.
As a highly efficient and durable filter material, it is particularly suitable for small biological filters. Biological filter cotton can be used as a pre-filter material to avoid pollution caused by floating debris.
Due to the micro-pores covering the ceramic rings, they are suitable for the reproduction of nitrifying bacteria and can purify water quality.

Applications: Filter quartz ceramic ring products are suitable for industries such as aquaculture, freshwater fish tanks, marine fish tanks, fish ponds, aquaculture, tap water, etc., especially for biochemical filtration systems in aquariums. The effect is better when used in conjunction with activated carbon and biochemical balls.

4. Coconut Shell Activated Carbon

This product is refined from coconut shells, shaped as irregular particles, and features high mechanical strength, developed pore structure, large specific surface area, fast adsorption speed, high adsorption capacity, easy regeneration, and durability.
Mainly used for deodorization in food, beverages, pharmaceuticals, alcoholic beverages, air purification, and high-purity drinking water, as well as for removing heavy metals from water, dechlorination, and liquid decolorization. It can also be widely used in solvent recovery and gas separation in the chemical industry.

5. Quartz Sand
Product Overview
Quartz sand is a non-metallic mineral, a hard, wear-resistant, and chemically stable silicate mineral, with its main mineral component being SiO2. The color of quartz sand is milky white or colorless and translucent, with a hardness of 7. Quartz sand is an important industrial mineral raw material, a non-chemical hazardous material, and is widely used in industries such as glass, casting, ceramics, refractory materials, ferrosilicon smelting, metallurgical flux, metallurgy, construction, chemical, plastics, rubber, and abrasives.
Since the particle size of quartz sand in a three-layer filter media bed is smaller than that of quartz sand in a two-layer filter media, and there is a layer of finer anthracite filter media below the quartz sand layer, under the same conditions, even with a higher filtration rate, the water quality after filtration in a three-layer filter media pool is better than that in a two-layer filter media pool. When using quartz sand, it is advisable to use it in combination.

6. Brush

Filter brushes, aquarium brushes, twisted wire brushes, and industrial brushes (also known as mechanical brushes, elastic filler filter brushes) are suitable for medium to large filtration pools, serving as mid-layer laying materials. Their characteristics include: this filter material selects several high-quality varieties from polyolefins and polyamides that are resistant to corrosion, temperature, and aging, mixed with hydrophilic, adsorptive, and heat-resistant additives, using a special filament drawing and bristle-making process, with bristles interspersed and fixed on corrosion-resistant, high-strength stainless steel wires. Due to the excellent selection of materials and formulation, the bristles are arranged in a three-dimensional uniform radiating state, forming a suspended single unit. The brush can fully extend and cover the effective area, allowing for sufficient contact and exchange between air, water, and biofilm. The biofilm can not only evenly attach to each bristle, maintaining good activity and variable porosity, but can also achieve an increasingly larger specific surface area during operation, allowing for good metabolism, excellent hydrophobic properties, and a large area for adsorbing suspended matter in the water, promoting the growth of denitrifying bacteria, which consume bacteria, thus achieving both biological and physical filtration effects. Moreover, it is very durable.
