Principle of Ultrafiltration System:
Ultrafiltration is a membrane separation process that uses sieving as the separation principle and pressure as the driving force, effectively removing particles, colloids, bacteria, viruses, and high molecular organic substances from water. It can be widely used for separation, concentration, and purification of substances. The ultrafiltration process does not involve phase transformation, operates at room temperature, is particularly suitable for the separation of heat-sensitive substances, and has good temperature, acid-base, and oxidation resistance, allowing for long-term continuous use under conditions below 60°C and pH 2-11.
Hollow fiber ultrafiltration membrane is the most mature and advanced form of ultrafiltration technology. The outer diameter of the hollow fiber is 0.5-2.0mm, and the inner diameter is 0.3-1.4mm, with micropores covering the wall of the hollow fiber. The pore size is expressed in terms of the molecular weight of the substances that can be retained, with retention molecular weights reaching thousands to hundreds of thousands. The raw water flows under pressure on the outside or inside of the hollow fiber, constituting external pressure and internal pressure types, respectively. Ultrafiltration is a dynamic filtration process, and the retained substances can be excluded with concentration, preventing clogging of the membrane surface, allowing for long-term continuous operation.
