System Introduction
The methods of seawater desalination mainly include distillation, electrodialysis, freeze crystallization, and reverse osmosis. Reverse osmosis is currently the most widely used and mature seawater desalination technology. It first extracts seawater for preliminary treatment to reduce seawater turbidity, preventing the growth of bacteria, algae, and other microorganisms. Then, it uses a special high-pressure pump to pressurize the pre-treated water into the reverse osmosis membrane, reducing the salt content. The water obtained in this way is desalinated water, which can be used for industrial, commercial, residential, and marine applications.
